FAQs

Do you take insurance?

1

I don't accept insurance. Insurance panels are structured around short, high-volume visits, and staying on them often means giving up the flexibility to spend the time your care actually requires. Billing insurance also requires assigning a formal diagnostic code that becomes part of a permanent, third-party-accessible record — something many patients prefer to avoid given how sensitive psychiatric diagnoses can be.

Practicing outside of insurance also means less time spent on documentation and administrative requirements, and more autonomy in how I approach your treatment — without utilization review or medical necessity justifications shaping clinical decisions.

Many patients are able to use out-of-network benefits for partial reimbursement. I'm happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company — reimbursement amounts vary by plan, so I'd recommend checking your out-of-network benefits directly with your insurer.

Where are you located?

I'm currently seeing patients 100% virtually via Zoom. This lets me offer flexibility to patients who need it most — new moms who find leaving the house difficult without reliable childcare, busy professionals who don't have the bandwidth to lose an hour or more to driving and waiting rooms just to attend an appointment, and patients managing PMDD or perimenopause symptoms that can make even routine outings feel unpredictable.

Virtual care also means sessions can happen in a space where you're comfortable, without the added stress of arranging outings, commuting, or coordinating logistics around your schedule. Whether you're navigating postpartum recovery, a demanding week, or symptoms that come and go on their own timeline, it keeps care consistent and accessible.

What makes you different?

Reproductive psychiatry isn't a weekend certificate or a special interest I picked up along the way — it's the focus of my training. I've pursued extensive, dedicated education across the full spectrum of women's mental health: from the menstrual cycle and PMDD, through fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum, to perimenopause and beyond.

My background reflects a level of specialization that goes well beyond general psychiatric training with an added interest in this population — it's a distinct area of clinical expertise I've built deliberately, across every hormonal stage of a patient's life,

How can I contact you?

4

The first step is scheduling a consultation call. This is a chance for us to talk through what's bringing you in and what you're looking for, so I can get a clear picture of your needs before we move forward.

From there, if I feel your concerns are a good match for what I treat, we'll schedule your intake and begin care together. If not, I'll refer you to a trusted colleague in the area whose expertise is better suited to what you're navigating — so you're not left to figure out the next step on your own.
